Chora of επιπλα Alonnisos used to be the former capital of the island. This city was built on a cliff in the north edge of the island, in the Middle Ages. It is a classic medieval fortified town with all the houses to be built next to each other. It resembles a lot the architecture used in Pilios of Volos.
